Assets
Every laptop traceable to a person, and no exit that completes with hardware still out.
Issue, return, repair and write off tracked against the record. Offboarding blocks on unreturned items, and depreciation leaves in the shape finance reports in.

What it does
The register, the custody trail, and the two places it has to hold: exit and audit.
Category, model, serial, purchase date and value for every item, whether it is assigned, in stock, in repair or written off.
Who held an item and when, from both directions: per asset and per person, with the acknowledgement they signed at issue.
A return closes with a condition note and photos, which is what makes a later deduction defensible.
Items out for repair kept visible with a vendor and an expected date, so a replacement is issued rather than improvised.
Exit cannot complete while an item is outstanding. The blocking list appears on the checklist, not in a separate email.
Method and useful life per category, with a schedule exported for finance rather than maintained twice.

What it reads and writes
